1st day – „Reside over the valley of Friuli”
In the later afternoon arrival in Brda. Accommodation at the estate. Dinner with typical regional delicacies from the borderland Brda – Collio. Dinner is often served on the terrace seasonable. Then you can enjoy the panoramic view over Friuli at candlelight. Overnight stay at the estate.
2nd day – „Experience the region of the Karst“
In the morning:
After breakfast departure to the Karst. Journey time 1,5 hours to Stanjel and walk on narrow stone lanes which carry you back to the history of this place. Sightseeing of the renovated castle, which was damaged during WWII. In the castle you can admire the gallery of the famous graphic artist Lojze Spacal. After this, you can walk through the Fabiani yard of the castle. Max Fabiani, a famous Slovenian-Austrian-Italian architect was born near Stanjel. He was architect of the Emperor Karl, and he taught Hitler in architecture. Next, we visit the vineyard on the Karst. Tasting of the most famous Karst delicacies – Prosciutto and Teran – typical variety of wine from the region of Karst, which grows on red soil.
In the afternoon:
Panoramic drive through the region of Karst. Stay in one of its picturesque villages. Walk through the village. Dinner with typical delicacies of Karst. Return to Brda. Overnight stay at the estate.
3rd day – „Discovery of the Brda – Collio region
Today we visit wine cellars and discover the region. Wine tasting from the region. Time for walks through vineyards. Gourmet dinner at a restaurant/agriturismo.
4th day – „Opening day of wine cellars
Sightseeing of wine cellars and expedition of the region. Possibility to eat lunch, then home journey.
