1st day - Friday
Arrival in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and accommodation at a peaceful vineyard in the morning.
Then visiting of a prestigious winery and wine tasting.

In the afternoon sightseeing: Aquileia is the most important archaeological place in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In the Imperial Era Aquileia was one of the most prosperous cities of the Roman Empire and was called the “Seconda Roma” (the second Rome). The city was established 181 BC and was a colony not far away from the sea. It consisted of magnificent public and private buildings, it was a center of trade of the Empire and it was an ideal meeting point for the Roman Empire and the Danube countries..
Freier Nachmittag zur Besichtigung von Grado, renommiertem Ferienort am Meer mit seiner bezaubernden und romantischen Altstadt. Die reizvolle Kleinstadt mit Bauten aus dem Mittelalter lädt zum Besuch ihrer antiken Kirchen und römischen Basiliken oder einem Spaziergang entlang ihrer Gässchen ein, die an die venezianischen ,,calli’’ erinnern.
Dinner at a typical restaurant in Grado, which serves you fish and domestic delicacies.
2nd day - Saturday
The whole day is for free pleasure. You can visit the lagoon of Marano, where the faunistical oasis of WWF “Foci del Fiume Stella” is situated. This oasis is on the delta of the river “Stella” and is leaded together with WWF. Many kinds of water birds nest and spend the winter in this protected area since 1976.
Here you have the possibility to make a trip with the motor boat. During the trip you rest at a typical fishing hut “Casone”. After this you participate in a detailed explanation about the origin and the architecture of these original and unique houses, which are left from father to son.
Free lunch. Visiting of the fishing village Marano Lagunare and the shell island. This city is of Roman origin and reached its heyday as Patriarchan seat of Aquileia. From 1420 to 1797 it served the public as Venetian fortress “Serenissima”, certification of it remains both architecture and design with its medieval tower, the close lanes and the charming church, which was established, as well as the Venetian dialect, in 1753. It is worth visiting the largest fish market and the largest fishing boat fleet of the region.
In the late afternoon, you visit the winery in the DOC zone Annia and enjoy wine-tasting.

3rd day - Sunday
Morning is for free pleasure to see the sights of the Friulian Riviera.
Our hint: free visiting of the parrot park of Latisana, first of its kind in Europe, which dedicates itself to these multicoloured birds. The zoo in Lignano set its goal to inform young visitors and adults about the rich fauna.
Lunch at a Agriturismus.
You can visit the marvellous fine sand beach of Lignano. Refuel sun or simply relax.
